DIPLODOC

Project researchers

The aim of the project DIPLODOC (Distributed Processing of Local Data for On-Line Car Services) is to define, specify and develop a system architecture based on a distributed sensor platform hosted by vehicles connected to a remote Main Centre, with main purpose of improving safety and comfort of the drivers.

The platform will integrate a distributed speech recognition system, image processing technologies and a telematics module for enabling the driver to communicate with remote services and control on vehicle devices through distributed and local speech recognition, detecting possibly hazardous situations (such as pedestrian crossing or moving obstacle detection) to support human drivers (VADA system) through image analysis of the scenario and collecting and transmit data for improved traffic information service.
